Honoring the Night of Revelation: Students of PP Muntasyirul Ulum MAN 3 Sleman Hold 30-Juz Qur’an Recitation for Nuzulul Qur’an

Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) — In commemoration of Nuzulul Qur’an, students of PP Muntasyirul Ulum MAN 3 Sleman took part in a Muqaddaman Qur’an recitation on Friday night (March 6, 2026) at Masjid Muntasyirul Ulum.

The event began after the Tarawih prayer at 8:00 PM. During the activity, students collectively recited the entire 30 juz of the Qur’an, with each student taking turns to read one juz. The activity was organized as a communal effort to complete the full recitation of the Qur’an in a single gathering.

Female students who were unable to recite the Qur’an due to menstruation also participated in the spiritual gathering by reciting Shalawat Nariyah, ensuring that everyone could take part in the blessed atmosphere of the Nuzulul Qur’an commemoration.

The muqaddaman was led by Rafflesia Yasin, who guided the recitation so that it proceeded in an orderly, solemn, and spiritually uplifting manner.

The head of PP Muntasyirul Ulum MAN 3 Sleman, Mohammad Taufikurohman, stated that the event serves as an important moment to strengthen students’ connection with the Qur’an.

“The commemoration of Nuzulul Qur’an should not merely be ceremonial. It is a reminder for all of us to love the Qur’an more deeply—by reading it, understanding its meaning, and practicing its teachings in our daily lives,” he said.

He also expressed hope that the activity would nurture a deeper love for the Qur’an among students and encourage them to make it a guiding light in their lives.

Throughout the night, the atmosphere inside the mosque was serene and filled with devotion. The continuous recitation of Qur’anic verses by the students created a deeply spiritual ambiance as they commemorated the revelation of the Qur’an to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. (fiq)
