Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) – As part of its preparation for the 2026/2027 academic year, MAN 3 Sleman has begun strengthening readiness for the upcoming Academic Competency Test (TKA) by engaging not only students but also their families. To support this effort, the school organized an online TKA orientation session for parents and guardians of Grade XI students who will advance to Grade XII next year.
The event was conducted via Zoom Meeting on Wednesday (June 10, 2026), with the main session broadcast from the AVA Room of MAN 3 Sleman.
The session featured Nurudin Mahmud, Vice Principal for Curriculum Affairs, accompanied by Failasufah, Coordinator of Guidance and Counseling (BK).
During the presentation, Nurudin shared insights into the strategic programs implemented by MAN 3 Sleman during the 2025 TKA preparation period. The review served as both an evaluation and a reference for parents in supporting their children’s academic journey over the coming year.
He explained that the school had carried out a series of intensive initiatives, including subject enrichment, regular mock examinations, and structured test analysis sessions to help students build academic readiness.

These efforts delivered outstanding results. In the 2025 Academic Competency Test, MAN 3 Sleman achieved the highest performance among madrasahs across Sleman Regency. This accomplishment has become an important source of motivation for the school to maintain and further improve its performance in the upcoming TKA cycle.
Meanwhile, Failasufah emphasized that academic preparation alone is not enough. She highlighted the crucial role of parents in providing emotional and psychological support at home, helping students remain confident, balanced, and motivated throughout their preparation.
She also reaffirmed the school counseling team’s commitment to supporting students’ academic development as well as helping them explore their interests and future pathways after graduation.
The response from parents was highly positive. More than 200 parents and guardians joined the virtual session and remained actively engaged throughout the presentation and discussion.
Through this program, MAN 3 Sleman hopes to strengthen collaboration between school and families so that students of the 2026/2027 academic year can move forward with confidence and achieve their highest academic potential. (isn)
