Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) — Students of MAN 3 Sleman participated in an educational visit to Tanjung Benoa, Bayu Suta, on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 13.00 to 15.30 WITA, as part of the GALAKSI 2026 program. The activity was designed to combine recreational experiences with environmental education and outdoor learning.
During the visit, students took part in different activities based on their interests. Some students enjoyed various water sport activities available at Tanjung Benoa, while others visited Turtle Island, a conservation area focused on the protection and preservation of sea turtles.
At Turtle Island, students learned about different species of turtles, the incubation and hatching process, and the importance of marine conservation. This activity provided students with valuable insight into environmental protection and the role of humans in preserving marine ecosystems.

One of the students who joined the visit to Turtle Island shared a positive impression of the experience.
“Visiting Turtle Island was very meaningful because we could see turtle conservation efforts directly. This activity made me more aware of how important it is to protect the environment and marine animals,” said one of the GALAKSI 2026 participants.

Meanwhile, students who participated in water sport activities enjoyed a fun and engaging experience that also fostered teamwork, confidence, and togetherness among participants. All activities were conducted in an orderly manner while prioritizing safety.
Through this educational activity at Tanjung Benoa, MAN 3 Sleman hopes that students gain not only recreational experiences but also important lessons in environmental awareness, cooperation, and balanced learning. This activity reflects the madrasah’s commitment to providing holistic education that integrates academic learning with real-life experiences. (fiq)
