Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) — Kemenag Sleman News (MAN 3 Sleman) — MAN 3 Sleman held a coordination meeting to finalize preparations for the 9th Festival Pelajar Muslim Yogyakarta (FPMY #9) on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. The meeting took place at the Ava Room and was attended by teacher committee members as well as students involved in Rohismu, the school’s Islamic student organization.
FPMY is an annual religious flagship program of MAN 3 Sleman designed to nurture students’ talents, creativity, and spiritual potential. This year, FPMY #9 features eleven competition categories, including Hadroh, Musabaqah Syarhil Qur’an (MSQ), Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ), Musabaqah Tartil Tilawatil Qur’an (MTTQ), Musabaqah Hifdzil Qur’an (MHQ), Da’i, Adzan, Islamic Quiz Competition (CCA), Arabic Speech, Calligraphy, and Poetry Composition.
The coordination meeting was led by the Vice Principal for Student Affairs, Siti Mutmainah, who guided the discussion and conducted a thorough review of each committee division. The session focused on confirming technical and organizational readiness to ensure that FPMY #9 will be implemented effectively and professionally.
The Principal of MAN 3 Sleman, Singgih Sampurno, expressed his strong support for the upcoming festival. He emphasized that FPMY should serve as an authentic learning platform for students, particularly in developing organizational skills and managing large-scale events. According to him, such experiences will be invaluable for students as they continue their studies at higher education institutions or enter the professional world.
In addition, Singgih Sampurno highlighted the importance of environmental education, especially in relation to waste management. This message aligns with MAN 3 Sleman’s ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability through the Gerakan Mayoga Cinta Lingkungan (GEMILANG) program, which aims to foster an environmentally conscious madrasah community.
The coordination meeting proceeded smoothly, with both technical and non-technical matters discussed openly and resolved through collective deliberation. Notably, FPMY #9 is expected to involve 531 participants, marking a significant increase compared to the previous year.
With careful preparation and strong collaboration among all committee members, FPMY #9 is expected to run successfully and provide meaningful educational value for both participants and organizers. (fiq)
