Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) — MAN 3 Sleman held an exclusive Tahfidz Program Socialization entitled “Road to Campus via Tahfidz” on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the PSBB Hall of MAN 3 Sleman. The program, conducted from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., was attended by 118 Grade X students who have demonstrated interest and potential in Qur’anic memorization.
The activity forms part of the madrasah’s strategic effort to provide students with clear academic direction and future planning, particularly in exploring university admission pathways through tahfidz schemes offered by both public and private higher education institutions, including opportunities for full scholarships and tuition fee waivers (UKT-free).

In his opening remarks, Vice Principal for Curriculum Affairs, Nurudin Mahmud, S.Pd., M.Si., emphasized that the tahfidz pathway should no longer be viewed as an alternative option, but rather as a legitimate and competitive academic route.
“When managed systematically, Qur’an memorization becomes both an academic asset and a foundation for character building. It opens real opportunities for students to access higher education while strengthening discipline and spiritual resilience,” he stated.
Serving as the leading sector, Dra. Wahidatul Mukarromah, M.Pd.I. highlighted MAN 3 Sleman’s commitment to early facilitation and structured mentoring for students pursuing the tahfidz track.
“Our goal is to equip students with a clear map of universities, selection mechanisms, and required memorization standards. With proper guidance, these opportunities are not merely aspirational but achievable,” she explained.

From a counseling and student development perspective, Dr. Failasufah, representing the Guidance and Counseling Unit, stressed the importance of aligning personal potential, interest, and psychological readiness.
“The tahfidz pathway demands strong commitment and mental endurance. Continuous counseling ensures that students are not only prepared academically, but also emotionally confident in facing competitive selection processes,” she noted.
During the session, participants received comprehensive insights into university admission channels through tahfidz, practical strategies to pass selection, detailed information on full tahfidz scholarships, and approaches to strengthening the Special Tahfidz Program at the madrasah level. Student engagement throughout the event reflected strong enthusiasm and growing awareness of tahfidz as a future-oriented pathway.
Through this initiative, MAN 3 Sleman reaffirms its commitment to positioning Qur’anic memorization not only as a form of worship, but also as a strategic instrument for academic advancement. The “Road to Campus via Tahfidz” program is expected to inspire students to transform their memorization into a meaningful bridge toward success in both worldly education and spiritual fulfillment.
