Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) – MAN 3 Sleman solemnly observed Pancasila Day 2026 through a flag-raising ceremony held on Monday morning (June 1, 2026). The event took place at the school’s sports field and brought together hundreds of participants from three educational institutions under the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Sleman Regency: MIN 1 Sleman, MTsN 6 Sleman, and MAN 3 Sleman.
The ceremony was led by Singgih Sampurno, Principal of MAN 3 Sleman, who served as the officiating inspector. On this occasion, he delivered the official address issued by the Head of Indonesia’s Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) through Circular Letter No. 2 of 2026 concerning the National Guidelines for Commemorating Pancasila Day.
Carrying the national theme, “Pancasila: Uniting the Nation, Building the Foundation for World Peace,” the message emphasized that the commemoration of June 1 should be more than an annual ceremony. Instead, it should serve as a moment of reflection, ensuring that the values of Pancasila remain alive in the hearts and actions of every Indonesian citizen.
The address highlighted that Pancasila’s noble principles are not only essential for maintaining Indonesia’s national unity and diversity but also offer valuable contributions toward fostering lasting peace and harmony on a global scale.
“Indonesia’s greatness is not an impossible dream. I invite all elements of society, especially the younger generation as the guardians of our future, to make Pancasila a living ideology that guides our daily lives,” Singgih conveyed during the ceremony.
The success of the event was also made possible by the active involvement of MAN 3 Sleman students. All ceremonial duties were performed professionally by students, including the ceremony commander, the national flag-raising team, the reader of the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution, and the school choir.
Their disciplined and impressive performance reflected the spirit of responsibility, patriotism, and leadership that the commemoration sought to cultivate. Through activities such as this, MAN 3 Sleman continues to strengthen students’ understanding of national values while encouraging them to become responsible citizens who uphold the ideals of Pancasila in an increasingly interconnected world.
