Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) – The Mayoga Library of MAN 3 Sleman has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting literacy by donating a collection of books to a Community Service Program (KKN) team from UIN Sunan Kalijaga. The books will be used to establish a Reading Corner, one of the flagship community projects carried out by the 2026 KKN team at Giripurwo 4 Post, Sekaro Hamlet, Giripurwo Village, Girimulyo District, Kulon Progo.
The handover ceremony took place on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, in the Mayoga Library Reading Room. The event was marked by the signing of the official donation agreement by Singgih Sampurno, Principal of MAN 3 Sleman, and Rizal Mujammal, Head of the KKN Team, in the presence of Nuzul Hidayah Yuningsih, Head of the Mayoga Library.

“We hope these books will serve as valuable learning resources for the local community. May the Reading Corner inspire a greater interest in reading and provide lasting educational benefits for the residents of Sekaro Hamlet,” said Singgih.
Rizal Mujammal expressed his appreciation for the support provided by MAN 3 Sleman.
“This book donation is a meaningful contribution to our Reading Corner initiative. We hope the collection will be widely used by children and community members as a learning resource and become the foundation for developing a stronger reading culture in Sekaro Hamlet,” he said.

Through initiatives such as this, the Mayoga Library continues to strengthen its role as a center for literacy—not only serving the madrasah community but also actively contributing to the promotion of reading and lifelong learning through collaboration with educational institutions and local communities.
