MAN 3 Sleman Strengthens Accountable Records Management Through GNSTA Collaboration

Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) – MAN 3 Sleman held a records assessment and sorting activity on Friday, July 10, 2026, involving administrative staff and representatives of the National Movement for Orderly Records Management (GNSTA) from the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The initiative marked an important first step toward developing a more organized, efficient, and regulation-compliant records management system.

Head of Administration Sri Wulandari said the activity would help improve the quality of records management across the madrasah.

“This assistance has given us a clearer understanding of how records should be properly managed. We hope it will help us build a more orderly system, ensuring that important documents are well preserved and can be easily retrieved whenever needed,” she said.

The GNSTA team, comprising Rahendrarta Indrayana, Tyas Perdana Putri, and Dedi Cahyono Putro, joined Sri Wulandari in reviewing several records storage areas across the madrasah. The review was carried out to map the current condition of the records, evaluate existing storage practices, and identify which documents remain valuable and which have reached the end of their retention periods.

Rahendrarta explained that improving records management requires a gradual and systematic approach.

“At this initial stage, we are focusing on identifying and sorting the records. Further assistance will be provided to determine which documents should be retained based on their value and which may be disposed of in accordance with applicable records management regulations,” he explained.

As a follow-up, MAN 3 Sleman will receive further guidance from records management officers during the appraisal process. This will ensure that each document is assigned the appropriate status, either for continued retention or authorized disposal, in line with established procedures and regulations.

Through this collaboration, MAN 3 Sleman aims to build a records management system that is increasingly organized, efficient, transparent, and accountable. (may)
