Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) — As part of its commitment to environmental sustainability, the Adiwiyata team of MAN 3 Sleman held a coordination meeting on Monday (April 13, 2026) at the Mayoga Library. The meeting marked a strategic step in designing a clear roadmap toward becoming a sustainable green school.
The meeting was led by Suryadin, Head I of the Adiwiyata team, who presented detailed plans for upcoming programs along with concrete steps required for implementation. He emphasized the importance of clear task distribution and active involvement from all members.
“To realize an Adiwiyata school, MAN 3 Sleman needs collaboration and participation from the entire school community—teachers, staff, and students,” he stated.
He further explained that the Adiwiyata concept goes beyond aesthetics. It encompasses broader aspects such as:
- Environment-based curriculum integration
- Resource efficiency, including reduced use of electricity, water, and office supplies
- Integrated waste and environmental management systems
The ultimate goal of these initiatives is to cultivate a strong sense of responsibility among all school members toward environmental protection and sustainability. The expected outcomes include a clean, green, and shaded environment, along with a culture of energy conservation embedded in daily habits.
The session continued with a technical briefing by Punto Wisambodo, who introduced the SIDIA application and outlined the program’s implementation flow in detail—covering execution strategies, priority programs, timelines, and evaluation mechanisms.
Through this coordinated effort, MAN 3 Sleman aims not only to fulfill administrative requirements but to transform environmental awareness into a defining identity—nurturing a generation that is truly responsible, conscious, and committed to protecting the environment. (est)
