Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) — In an effort to maintain fitness and regularly monitor the health condition of the school community, MAN 3 Sleman conducted a School-Age Health Screening (CKG) over two days, Tuesday–Wednesday (April 7–8, 2026). Held in the AVA room, this initiative reflects a strong collaboration between MAN 3 Sleman and Mlati I Community Health Center (Puskesmas Mlati I).
The primary targets of this program were students of Grades X and XI, although teachers were also given the opportunity to receive similar health services. The medical team from Puskesmas Mlati I came fully equipped to conduct a comprehensive series of examinations.
The screening procedures included:
- Measurement of height and weight
- Blood pressure (tension) checks and random blood glucose (GDS) testing
- Dental health examinations
- Vision tests (eye acuity/visus)
- Screening using a Smokerlyzer device to detect carbon monoxide levels
The activity was carried out in an orderly manner, supported by excellent coordination between healthcare personnel, the school management, and the Mayoga Junior Red Cross (MJRC) team. The presence of medical services within the school environment made it easier for students and staff to access health checks without leaving campus.
Febriana Wahyu Utami, a teacher and advisor of the MJRC extracurricular club, expressed her appreciation for the successful implementation of this routine program.
“We hope this collaboration can continue in the future so that students become more aware of the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle from an early age,” she stated.
Through this health screening initiative, MAN 3 Sleman aims to foster a healthier learning environment, where every individual is more conscious of maintaining physical well-being to support effective teaching and learning activities. (est)
