Learning Across Disciplines: MAN 3 Sleman Students Gain Academic Experience at Brawijaya University

Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) — Grade XI students of MAN 3 Sleman conducted an educational visit to Brawijaya University, Malang, as part of the Gelar Pengenalan Lingkungan dan Observasi Kampus Impian (GALAKSI) 2026 program. The activity took place from 14.00 to 15.30 WIB and aimed to provide students with direct academic exposure to various disciplines within a higher education environment.

During the visit, students were divided into three faculty-based groups, visiting the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), the Faculty of Engineering, and the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB). This arrangement was designed to help students gain broader insights into different academic fields in accordance with their interests and future study plans.

The visit to FMIPA Brawijaya University involved 137 students. Welcoming remarks were delivered by Mr. Syaifuddin, S.E., M.M., Head of Administrative Affairs, and Ms. Ika Wuriyanti, S.E., M.M., Head of Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Alumni, Cooperation, and Student Entrepreneurship.

Meanwhile, the visit to the Faculty of Engineering was attended by 92 students. The welcoming address was delivered by Ir. Rahmah Dara Lufira, S.T., M.T., Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Brawijaya University. She expressed her appreciation for the GALAKSI program as a strategic initiative to introduce engineering and technological fields to students at an early stage and to prepare them for future academic and global challenges.

The visit to the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) was also attended by 92 students. The welcoming remarks were delivered by Dr. Nurul Badriyah, S.E., M.A., Vice Dean for Student Affairs of FEB Brawijaya University. She highlighted that the GALAKSI program is an educational, innovative, and forward-looking initiative that aligns with the needs of today’s young generation while simultaneously fostering character development and respect for parents.

Throughout the visit, students participated in faculty profile presentations, introductions to academic programs, and interactive discussions on academic life at Brawijaya University. Their enthusiasm was evident through active participation, thoughtful questions, and meaningful engagement with faculty representatives.

Through this educational visit, MAN 3 Sleman expects students to gain meaningful academic experiences, broaden their perspectives across disciplines, and develop clearer insights into their future educational pathways. The GALAKSI 2026 program is expected to serve as a strategic platform in preparing madrasah students to become academically excellent, well-rounded, and future-oriented individuals. (fiq)
