MAN 3 Sleman Reviews Education Report to Drive Continuous School Improvement

Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) – As part of its commitment to continuous improvement in educational quality, MAN 3 Sleman held an In-House Training (IHT) Workshop on Friday, July 3, 2026. The workshop featured Dr. Reny Herawati, M.Pd.B.I., Senior School Supervisor, as the keynote speaker.

During the workshop, Dr. Reny presented three key topics that will shape the madrasah’s future development: an analysis of MAN 3 Sleman’s 2025 Education Report (released in 2026), the implementation of Deep Learning in classroom instruction, and strategies for preparing students for the Academic Competency Test (TKA).

One of the main highlights of the workshop was the review of the Education Report. According to the latest report, MAN 3 Sleman achieved an overall “Good” rating across all major performance indicators, reflecting the madrasah’s consistent commitment to educational excellence.

Although most indicators showed significant improvement, Dr. Reny emphasized the importance of maintaining these achievements. “Our challenge is to sustain the outstanding literacy and numeracy performance while continuing to strengthen students’ character development,” she explained.

The report evaluated six key areas: literacy, numeracy, student character, instructional quality, school safety climate, and diversity climate. Overall, four indicators ranked within the top 1–20% at the provincial level, while all six indicators were placed among the top 1–20% of schools nationwide, demonstrating the madrasah’s strong educational performance.

The second session introduced the concept of Deep Learning, encouraging teachers to move beyond content memorization by fostering students’ critical thinking, conceptual understanding, and meaningful learning experiences. These approaches are expected to better prepare students for the Academic Competency Test (TKA), which was discussed in the final session of the workshop.

Principal Singgih Sampurno welcomed the positive results of the Education Report and expressed his hope that the workshop would encourage all educators to collaborate in designing data-driven improvement programs, enabling MAN 3 Sleman to achieve even greater success in the years ahead. (est)
