Medical Insight 2026 Broadens MAN 3 Sleman Students’ Understanding of Medical Education

Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) – On Saturday, July 4, 2026, three students of MAN 3 Sleman took part in Medical Insight 2026, held at Universitas Alma Ata. The program aimed to introduce students to the world of medical education and provide them with a clearer picture of studying medicine at university. A total of 28 students from various senior high schools, vocational schools, and madrasahs across the Special Region of Yogyakarta joined the event.

Hanania, one of the MAN 3 Sleman participants, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity.

“Alhamdulillah, I am grateful to have joined this program. It was very useful, especially for me as someone who wants to learn more about the Faculty of Medicine,” she said.

Guidance and Counseling teacher Reny Puspitawati, S.Pd., who accompanied the students, also appreciated the program. She said the activity provided valuable insight, particularly for helping guide MAN 3 Sleman students who aspire to continue their studies in medicine.

The program began with remarks from the Chairperson of the Medical Student Association (HIMADOK) of Universitas Alma Ata, followed by a “Step into Medicine” session delivered by dr. Hanson, M.Biomed. Through this session, participants learned about the journey of medical education, its challenges, and future career opportunities in the medical field.

Participants then joined Medventure, a laboratory exploration activity that introduced them to Histology, Biochemistry, Anatomy, Physiology, and Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) laboratories. The event became even more engaging with an interactive talk show, a mini project, and a session on adolescent reproductive health.

Through Medical Insight 2026, the three MAN 3 Sleman students gained first-hand learning experiences about the medical field. The program is expected to inspire them and broaden their perspectives as they prepare for higher education. (ren)
