Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) – The Brigade Mayoga (Brimaga), the drill team of MAN 3 Sleman, successfully hosted a Multilateral Drill Training focused on marching and ceremonial drill (Peraturan Baris-Berbaris/PBB) on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. The event brought together students from several schools across Sleman and Yogyakarta for a day of learning, collaboration, and friendly competition.
The training received an enthusiastic response from participants, many of whom said they gained new knowledge, fresh ideas, and greater motivation to further develop their own school drill teams.

“The event was both exciting and challenging. We not only improved our technical skills but also had the opportunity to observe creative formations and movements performed by other schools. It has inspired our team to train even harder,” said one member of Brimaga.
A total of 163 students representing six schools participated in the program: SMAN 1 Godean, MAN 3 Sleman, SMPN 16 Yogyakarta, SMPN 8 Yogyakarta, SMPN 3 Sleman, and Madrasah Mu’allimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta.
The primary objective of the event was to strengthen participants’ marching skills while fostering friendship, teamwork, and solidarity among school drill teams.
The program began with a group warm-up session, followed by independent practice led by each school’s coaches and instructors. During these sessions, participants refined their marching techniques, synchronized team movements, and strengthened overall coordination.

The highlight of the day was the performance showcase, where each school took turns presenting its best drill routine before all participants. Beyond being an opportunity to demonstrate their skills, the showcase also served as a valuable learning experience, allowing teams to exchange ideas, observe different formations, and appreciate one another’s discipline and teamwork.
The event concluded with a group photo session, symbolizing the friendships and connections built throughout the training. The Brimaga organizing committee hopes this multilateral training will become a regular program that continues to enhance drill performance, promote sportsmanship, and strengthen collaboration among schools in preparation for future competitions.
