New Students Begin MATAMUDA with Congregational Dhuha Prayer

Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) – MAN 3 Sleman welcomed the 2026/2027 academic year by inviting all new Grade 10 students to begin their first day with a congregational Dhuha prayer on Monday, July 13, 2026.

Held at Muntasyirul Ulum Mosque at 6:30 a.m., the prayer marked the beginning of the MATAMUDA orientation program and reflected the madrasah’s commitment to nurturing students’ character from the very start of their educational journey.

St Darojah, a member of the organizing committee and an Islamic Education teacher who supervised the activity, explained that the program was designed to strengthen students’ spiritual values before they began their classroom activities.

“We hope this positive habit will help develop strong religious character and encourage students to begin each day with mindfulness, discipline, and gratitude,” she said.

She added that the practice was not intended to be limited to the MATAMUDA orientation period. The madrasah hopes that Dhuha prayer will become a meaningful and consistent part of students’ daily routine throughout their time at MAN 3 Sleman.

By introducing this practice from the first day of school, MAN 3 Sleman aims to nurture students who not only excel academically but also grow with strong faith, good character, and a deep sense of responsibility. (est)
