Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) — Marking the first day back to school after the Eid al-Fitr holiday, MAN 3 Sleman held a morning assembly combined with a Syawalan (post-Eid gathering) on Monday (March 30, 2026). The event, which took place in the main courtyard, was attended by hundreds of students, teachers, and staff in a solemn and respectful atmosphere.
The assembly was organized by the student council, Dewa Mayoga (OSIS). During the main session, the council president, Ikmal Husain, represented all students in delivering the Syawalan pledge. Standing before the teachers and staff, he sincerely expressed apologies for any mistakes made throughout daily interactions within the school environment.

The Head of MAN 3 Sleman, Singgih Sampurno, who served as the assembly supervisor, delivered a meaningful address. He emphasized that Eid al-Fitr is not merely about exchanging apologies verbally, but about rediscovering the true essence of inner purification.
“The momentum of Ramadan and Eid should become a strong foundation for students to move forward. We hope that the worship practiced during the holy month continue—such as maintaining voluntary fasting, strengthening faith and piety, and improving self-discipline,” he stated.
He further highlighted an important message regarding the educational process at MAN 3 Sleman. According to him, the school does not solely pursue achievements in terms of numbers or titles, but prioritizes the long-term process of nurturing akhlaqul karimah (noble character).

“We want every achievement to be the result of an honest and meaningful journey. For those who have memorized parts of the Qur’an, continue to improve. Likewise, in both academic and non-academic fields, make the best use of your time to grow and develop,” he added.
The event concluded with a well-organized handshake session, where students lined up orderly to greet and shake hands with teachers and staff. The long lines reflected a symbolic moment of forgiveness, unity, and a renewed spirit.
Overall, the event ran smoothly and created a strong sense of togetherness within the MAN 3 Sleman community, setting a positive tone for the continuation of learning activities in the remaining semester. (est)
