Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) — MAN 3 Sleman held a Coordination Meeting for the SITAS (School Final Project Defense) for Grade XII LBCI Cohort III on Thursday (April 2, 2026), in the AVA Room. This meeting played a crucial role in strengthening students’ readiness ahead of their upcoming open defense of their Scientific Papers (KTI).
Amid the demanding schedule of Grade XII students—including simulations, tryouts, UTBK preparation, Madrasah exams, and university admission processes—students have remained committed to completing their final research papers, which they have been working on for over three months. The open defense presentations are scheduled to take place on May 4, 2026.

In his remarks, the Vice Principal for Curriculum, Nurudin Mahmud, emphasized that this activity serves as an early introduction to academic life at the university level.
“This program trains students in time management and encourages them to think critically about real-world phenomena. Successful people stay productive and always have clear targets,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Failasufah, Head of Guidance and Counseling at MAN 3 Sleman, also expressed her appreciation for the students’ dedication. She highlighted that completing the scientific paper on schedule, despite their intensive academic workload, is an achievement worth recognizing.

The coordination meeting also featured progress presentations from each group. Overall, the development of the students’ research papers showed positive results, although some groups are still facing challenges—particularly related to limited time and the high intensity of academic commitments.
Through this activity, it is hoped that all students will maximize their preparation for the final defense, while also gaining valuable experience in strengthening academic skills, critical thinking, and readiness for higher education. (mia)
