Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) — MAN 3 Sleman officially launched the MUTIARAQU (Murajaah dan Tahfidz Intensif Al-Qur’an) Program on Monday, February 23, 2026, at the school’s AVA Room. The event was attended by the Principal, Head of Administration, Vice Principals, the MUTIARAQU committee, participating students, and parents who joined virtually via zoom.
In her report, Wahidatul Mukarromah announced that the inaugural cohort consists of 112 students guided by 11 qualified hafidz and hafidzah. She expressed gratitude for the strong enthusiasm from students and the support from various stakeholders.
The program runs daily from 06:30 to 08:00 WIB, with a slight adjustment next month to 06:15–07:45 WIB. She encouraged students to remain steadfast and disciplined in both murajaah (revision) and ziyadah (adding new memorization), emphasizing that the ultimate goal extends beyond memorization to understanding and living by Qur’anic values.
Principal Singgih Sampurno officially inaugurated the program, highlighting that MUTIARAQU aligns with the broader educational vision of the Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia to create impactful education.
He stressed that the program is not merely about producing memorizers of the Qur’an, but nurturing a generation capable of spreading knowledge and benefit to others. He also commended students for their commitment in arriving early each morning, describing Qur’an memorization as a character-building journey rooted in the values of Panca Cinta: love for Allah, the Prophet, knowledge, the homeland, and fellow human beings.
With the official launch of MUTIARAQU, MAN 3 Sleman aspires to cultivate a strong and sustainable tahfidz ecosystem one that shapes a Qur’anic generation distinguished by knowledge, noble character, and meaningful contribution to society. (its)
