Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) – As part of its commitment to promoting a healthy and safe school environment, MAN 3 Sleman welcomed a health inspection and guidance team from Mlati 1 Community Health Center (Puskesmas Mlati 1) on Wednesday (May 20, 2026). The visit focused on evaluating food safety standards and providing coaching for the five canteens operating within the madrasa.
The inspection was conducted by two health officers, Rofi and Dika, who assessed various aspects of canteen operations, including food preparation areas, sanitation practices, and the suitability of food ingredients. In addition to the inspection, the officers provided educational guidance to canteen operators on maintaining cleanliness, using hygienic equipment, and ensuring safe food handling practices.
The health team emphasized that regular monitoring and education are essential in fostering greater awareness among canteen managers regarding food hygiene and safety. These efforts aim to ensure that students, teachers, and staff can enjoy meals in a safe and comfortable environment.
Febriana, coordinator of the School Health Unit (UKS) at MAN 3 Sleman, expressed appreciation for the visit and highlighted its value in supporting continuous improvement.
“We are grateful for the guidance and recommendations provided by the team from Puskesmas Mlati 1. The evaluation results will serve as an important reference for further improvements, helping us create canteens that are healthier, cleaner, and safer for all members of the madrasa community,” she said.
The inspection and coaching session concluded smoothly and is expected to further strengthen collaboration between MAN 3 Sleman and Puskesmas Mlati 1 in promoting a healthy, safe, and supportive learning environment. (feb/isn)
