Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) – A wave of achievements continues to flow from the students of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 3 Sleman at the 2026 Special Region of Yogyakarta Student Regional Sports Week (POPDA DIY). This time, a proud accomplishment comes from the sport of fencing.
Ghaisan Ara Rafan Adi, a student from class XI B, successfully secured 2nd place in the Men’s Team Épée category. The medal ceremony took place on Friday (April 3, 2026) amidst a competitive and sportsmanlike atmosphere. Ghaisan’s success adds to the medal collection for the Sleman contingent while bringing honor to the madrasah at the provincial level.
Standing on the second-place podium, Ghaisan expressed his deep gratitude. For him, this achievement is inseparable from the support of those around him, both at home and within the school environment.
The Head of the Madrasah gave high appreciation for Ghaisan’s persistence in honing his skills in fencing. He emphasized that this achievement is clear proof that madrasah students are capable of competing in various fields.
