Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) — On Tuesday (February 10, 2026), MAN 3 Sleman held a socialization session for the MUTIARAQU program (Murajaah dan Tahfidz Intensif Al-Qur’an) at the school’s AVA Room. This activity was attended by the Principal, Deputy chair of the committee, Deputy head of curriculum, PAI teachers, BK, and invited parents. The event was hosted by M. Taufikurohman, an Islamic Education teacher at MAN 3 Sleman.
The session was officially opened by the Head of MAN 3 Sleman, Singgih Sampurno. In his remarks, he emphasized that the event was not merely a program briefing but also a form of appreciation for students’ Qur’anic achievements, especially those already engaged in tahfidz (Qur’an memorization).

He highlighted that MUTIARAQU is expected to become a bridge to students’ success in both worldly life and the hereafter. Beyond religious development, the tahfidz program also opens future opportunities, including university admission pathways through Qur’an memorization tracks.
Also present was the Chair of the MAN 3 Sleman Committee, Amir Mu’allim, who stressed that the madrasah’s programs are not solely oriented toward worldly success but toward shaping individuals whose lives are guided by the Qur’an. He described the tahfidz program as a strategic effort to build Qur’anic character and lifestyle among students.
From the curriculum division, representatives explained that MUTIARAQU is the newest tahfidz innovation at MAN 3 Sleman. The program is designed to help students graduate with strong memorization quality. Students who already possess memorization upon entry are expected to continue progressing so their memorization does not stagnate during their years at the madrasah.

The core presentation was delivered by Wahidatul Mukarromah, the program coordinator. She introduced the MUTIARAQU tagline: “Nurturing a Disciplined, Well-Mannered, and High-Achieving Qur’anic Generation.” She explained that the program was founded on the importance of character development through structured and continuous Qur’an memorization. Additionally, university opportunities via tahfidz pathways at leading public and private universities are increasingly available.
“In reality, many students enter madrasah with a considerable amount of memorization, but it is not always well maintained over time. MUTIARAQU addresses this through a structured and sustainable coaching system, supported by strong parental involvement so program targets can be achieved optimally,” Wahidatul explained.
Initially, MUTIARAQU targeted 100 participants. However, due to high enthusiasm, enrollment has reached 105 students and continues to grow.
Implementation-wise, students are guided intensively in 10 small halaqah groups, each consisting of 10 students mentored by one tahfidz supervisor (musyrif). Placement is based on students’ recitation quality and memorization level. The program runs every morning for 90 minutes, from 6:15 to 7:45 a.m.
Through MUTIARAQU, MAN 3 Sleman aims to produce a Qur’anic generation that excels not only in memorization but also in character and achievement, both academically and spiritually. (its)
