Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) — MAN 3 Sleman reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing a strong and accomplished Muslim youth generation by hosting the 9th Festival Pelajar Muslim Yogyakarta (FPMY #9) on Saturday (January 31, 2026). The annual event was held in a lively atmosphere, drawing remarkable enthusiasm from participants.
Carrying the theme “High-Achieving Islamic Youth Without Limits,” this year’s festival featured 11 religious competition categories, including: Qur’an Recitation (MTQ), Tartil Qur’an (MTTQ), Qur’anic Interpretation (MSQ), Qur’an Memorization (MHQ), Adhan, Islamic Calligraphy, Islamic Quiz Competition (CCA), Hadroh (Islamic musical performance), Arabic Speech, Poetry, and Da’i (Islamic preaching).

More than 500 students participated in FPMY #9, marking a significant increase compared to previous years. Competitions were conducted across various venues within the MAN 3 Sleman campus, including classrooms, the mosque, PSBB Hall, AVA room, and the main stage. Favorable weather helped ensure that all events ran smoothly and comfortably.
As a form of appreciation, MAN 3 Sleman awarded trophies and development grants to winners. In addition, individual first-place winners received a special “Golden Ticket” granting priority admission to MAN 3 Sleman for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The title of Overall Champion was secured by MTs Miftahunnajah, which proudly took home the rotating championship trophy. The trophy was presented directly by the Head of MAN 3 Sleman, Singgih Sampurno.
He expressed hope that the achievement would inspire students to deepen their religious knowledge and strengthen their competitive spirit.
“May the achievements of the winners serve not only as a source of pride but also as motivation to continue seeking knowledge, practicing Qur’anic values, and becoming morally upright, high-achieving Muslim youth,” he said.
Meanwhile, Rafflesia Yasin, Islamic Education teacher and Chairperson of FPMY #9, conveyed her gratitude to all participants and contributors. He emphasized that FPMY is not merely a competition but also a meaningful learning experience.
“FPMY serves as a valuable platform for MAN 3 Sleman students to learn organizational and event-management skills on a large scale. Once again, we sincerely thank everyone who supported and contributed to FPMY #9,” he stated. (est)
