Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) – A total of 45 students from MAN 3 Sleman officially began their first coaching session for the Regency-Level National Science Olympiad (OSN-K) on Monday (March 2, 2026). The intensive training program will run for the next three months as a strong commitment from the madrasah in preparing its students for the prestigious academic competition.
The participants are divided into nine competition fields: Informatics, Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Economics, Astronomy, Geography, Earth Science, and Physics. Each field receives specialized mentoring from competent instructors according to their respective expertise. Training sessions are conducted in various facilities, including the ICT laboratory, Biology laboratory, Chemistry laboratory, Physics laboratory, the library reading room, and the reference room.

During the first Earth Science session, Edy delivered material on the OSN Earth Science syllabus, focusing on an introduction to Earth Science as a foundational understanding of key concepts. The session was accompanied by Hasti Budiyaningrum, Geography teacher at MAN 3 Sleman, who provided both academic reinforcement and motivational support to the participants.

“During the first coaching session, the students appeared enthusiastic, serious, and highly motivated in following the mentor’s guidance,” said Hasti.
This intensive program is expected to enhance students’ academic competence and strengthen their competitiveness in the OSN at the regency level and beyond. (est)
