Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) — Researchers from UIN Raden Intan Lampung have formally requested permission to conduct a study at MAN 3 Sleman, Yogyakarta, as part of the 2026 Indonesia Bangkit Research Funding Program under the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA–AIR Funds).
The project, scheduled to begin on February 13, 2026, focuses on developing tools to measure the sustainability of Islamic educational institutions. The study integrates ecotheology perspectives with circular economy principles to explore how madrasahs can build long-term institutional resilience.

The research team is led by Dr. Irwandani, M.Pd., and includes Dr. Heru Juabdin Sada, M.Pd.I., Suci Wulan Pawhestri, M.Si., Wawan Gunawan, M.Kom., and Mia Selvina, S.E., M.Ak.—all academics from UIN Raden Intan Lampung.
In an official letter, the head of LP2M UIN Raden Intan Lampung, A. Kumedi Ja’far, expressed hope for the school’s cooperation in facilitating data collection. MAN 3 Sleman’s principal, Singgih Sampurno, welcomed the initiative and affirmed the school’s openness to collaborative research.
The study is expected to contribute to stronger sustainability practices in Islamic education management and to support the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ broader agenda for developing environmentally and socially responsible madrasahs and pesantren. (hus)
