Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) — The Mayoga Book Lovers (MBL) extracurricular club of MAN 3 Sleman organized a public speaking workshop titled “Formulating Ideas, Voicing Meaning” on Thursday (January 29, 2026) at the Mayoga Library reading room.
The training was part of MBL’s work program and involved class leaders from grades X and XI, representatives of the student council (DEWA), and Mayoga student journalists. The program aimed to develop students’ courage, confidence, and communication skills to support both academic and non-academic activities.
MBL invited Kak Aji Syafa as the keynote speaker. He delivered sessions on essential public speaking skills, particularly on how to formulate ideas and convey messages effectively and meaningfully.

During the session, Kak Aji emphasized that the key to public speaking lies in the courage to ask questions. He explained that asking questions is not a sign of ignorance but rather the first step toward building confidence and speaking bravely in front of an audience.
The activity received strong support from the Head of Administration of MAN 3 Sleman, Susana Widyawati, who officially opened the event. In her remarks, she expressed appreciation for the initiative.
“I truly appreciate this program initiated by MBL. Activities like this are important for training students to express their opinions and ideas. The madrasah fully supports positive programs that help develop students’ potential and soft skills,” she stated.

The event was also attended by the Head of the Mayoga Library, Nuzul Hidayah, who showed full support for this collaborative initiative.
Through this program, MBL and the Mayoga Library hope to continue presenting inspiring activities that strengthen literacy culture and communication skills within the MAN 3 Sleman community. (may)
