Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) – On Monday (March 2, 2026), MAN 3 Sleman officially held the opening ceremony of MPR (Mayoga Pesantren Ramadan) 1447 Hijri at the Muntasyirul Ulum Mosque, 3rd floor. The event was attended by the Principal, Vice Principals, the MPR organizing committee, and all Grade X students.
In her report, the Head of the Ramadan Islamic Boarding Program, ST Darojah, stated that the MPR program aims to enhance students’ faith, piety, and moral character. The program runs for four days, from March 2 to March 5, 2026, and is divided into two phases. The first phase, held on March 2–3, involves 294 Grade X students, while the second phase, on March 4–5, will be attended by Grade XI students.

Throughout the program, participants will engage in various religious activities, including congregational Dhuha prayer, Qur’an recitation (tadarus), short religious sermons (kultum), and sessions on faith, morality, and worship. In addition, social care initiatives are incorporated to foster students’ sense of social responsibility. Through these activities, students are expected to strengthen their devotion to Allah SWT, improve their character, and cultivate compassion in their daily lives.
The Principal of MAN 3 Sleman, Singgih Sampurno, officially inaugurated the Mayoga Pesantren Ramadan 1447 H. In his remarks, he emphasized that the entire series of activities is designed to reinforce students’ faith and piety, which should be reflected in their daily attitudes and behavior.

He also highlighted the importance of maintaining good character, strengthening Islamic brotherhood (ukhuwah Islamiyah), and preserving unity as a tangible manifestation of pesantren values. The materials delivered by the teachers are expected to be well understood and practiced by the students.
“May Allah SWT bless this program. May all of you be granted good health, may the activities run smoothly, and may you gain beneficial and blessed knowledge,” he concluded.
With the official launch of the MPR program, it is hoped that all participants will take part wholeheartedly and sincerely, emerging as individuals who are stronger in faith, more devoted, and noble in character. (mia)
