Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) — The series of activities in the Mayoga Pesantren Ramadan (MPR) program at MAN 3 Sleman continues to present educational and inspiring sessions. On Monday (March 2, 2026), following the Dhuhr prayer, students took part in a communal Islamic movie screening held within the madrasah.
In this session, students watched Sang Kiai, a film portraying the struggle of Islamic scholars in defending Indonesia’s independence while upholding Islamic and national values.

Throughout the screening, students showed great enthusiasm and attentiveness. The compelling storyline and profound moral messages made the session more than just entertainment—it became a meaningful learning experience.
At the end of the screening, students were invited to reflect on the lessons conveyed in the film. This reflection aimed to help them internalize the values of perseverance, sincerity, devotion, and patriotism demonstrated by the characters.

Through this activity, students were expected not only to enjoy the film but also to gain character-building and spiritual insights that strengthen their faith and love for both religion and nation.
The movie screening stands as one of the innovative learning approaches within the MPR program, combining educational and reflective elements to create a memorable and impactful Ramadan experience for students. (mia)
