Caring for the Environment, MAN 3 Sleman Students Clean School Grounds and Nearby Mosque

Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) — All 10th and 11th grade students of MAN 3 Sleman took part in a community clean-up activity on Monday (February 9, 2026). The initiative aimed to foster environmental awareness while strengthening students’ sense of teamwork and social responsibility.

Students were divided into several groups, each assigned to different areas to ensure balanced coverage. One group, consisting of students from classes XI E and XI F, was tasked with cleaning not only the school surroundings but also Siratal Mustaqim Mosque (SMK) in Karangjati, located north of Sakina Idaman Hospital in Sinduadi.

This group helped tidy the mosque area, organize prayer equipment, and pick up litter along the road connecting the school and the mosque. The activity was supervised by teachers Punto Wisambodo, Andrian Wisnu, and M. Rizki Anugrah Putra, who actively guided and worked alongside the students during the clean-up.

Through this program, MAN 3 Sleman hopes students will develop greater awareness of environmental cleanliness, a sense of responsibility toward public facilities, and stronger ties between the school and the surrounding community. (riz)
