Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) — As part of its commitment to creating a clean, orderly, and comfortable school environment, MAN 3 Sleman organized a community clean-up activity under its Generasi Mayoga Cinta Lingkungan (GEMILANG) program on Monday (February 9, 2026). The initiative involved all 10th and 11th grade students, along with teachers and school staff.

The GEMILANG activity began with participants being assigned to working groups. Each class was divided into three teams responsible for different locations. Academic advisors coordinated the group and area assignments to ensure the activity ran smoothly and fairly.

Across the school grounds, students and teachers worked together to clean classrooms, gardens, sports fields, internal roads, and even areas surrounding the school. Participants showed strong enthusiasm and teamwork throughout the activity, reflecting a shared commitment to maintaining a healthy and pleasant learning environment.

Principal Singgih Sampurno expressed hope that the GEMILANG program would continue as a sustainable initiative.

“This activity not only improves environmental cleanliness but also builds awareness and a sense of responsibility among the entire school community to care for their surroundings,” he stated.

Through GEMILANG, MAN 3 Sleman reinforces its commitment to nurturing environmentally conscious students who value cooperation and social responsibility. The program is expected to help shape a generation that actively contributes to environmental care both inside and outside the school. (est)
