Sleman (MAN 3 Sleman) — The MUTIARAQU (Intensive Qur’an Memorization and Murajaah) program at MAN 3 Sleman organized an orientation meeting for prospective tahfidz mentors at the school library on Friday (13/2/2026). The session marked a strategic step in reinforcing a structured and sustainable Qur’an memorization program at the madrasah.
The meeting brought together 10 prospective tahfidz teachers along with two members of the MUTIARAQU management team. The atmosphere was warm and collaborative, featuring introductions, sharing of Qur’an teaching experiences, and discussions on effective tahfidz mentoring models.

During the forum, the MUTIARAQU team outlined the program framework, including halaqah group arrangements, memorization targets, and evaluation mechanisms. Prospective mentors were also invited to align their perspectives on the importance of consistent guidance in maintaining students’ memorization quality and Qur’anic manners.
M. Yazid emphasized that a tahfidz program requires mentors who are not only strong in memorization but also committed to character building.
“Teaching tahfidz is a great responsibility. It is not only about preserving memorization, but also nurturing adab and love for the Qur’an. We hope mentors will accompany students with sincerity and dedication,” he said.

Meanwhile, Wahidatul Mukarromah, Coordinator of Tahfidz at MAN 3 Sleman, explained that MUTIARAQU is designed as a focused and continuous mentoring system.
“MUTIARAQU ensures that students’ memorization keeps progressing rather than stagnating. Strong collaboration between mentors, the school, and parents is the key to success,” she noted.
In addition to the orientation, participants submitted their personal profiles as part of the initial administrative process. These records will help determine mentor placements based on program needs.
Through this initiative, MAN 3 Sleman aims to further strengthen the mentoring aspect of MUTIARAQU so it can nurture a Qur’anic generation that is disciplined, well-mannered, and high-achieving. (fiq)
